Invited panelist for 'Imposter Syndrome' by Global Changemakers

Writer: Shriya NaiduShriya Naidu

Video description: As young people of the 21st century, trying to navigate a career and journey of change-making in STEM, global health, menstrual health, sexual and reproductive health, and mental health, Stuti, Sasha, and Shriya - the three co-founders of Stimulus, open up, unfiltered, about one of the major challenges they have faced in this process, which is, dealing with imposter syndrome and rejection. Undoubtedly, an unprecedented amount of competition due to more accessibility to extensive opportunities has led to growing pressure on today's youth to always perform their best. This can often leave young people feeling overwhelmed, undeserving of their achievements, and doubtful of their capabilities, which are things even Stuti, Sasha and Shriya have faced in their journeys thus far. Through this heartwarming conversation, they have tried to recount some aspects of their personal encounters with imposter syndrome, how they've dealt with it using their coping mechanisms and support systems, as well as how they've dealt with rejection. The speakers hope that this raw dialogue will, in some way, resonate with many other young people like them, just at the start of their professional careers, and inspire as well as motivate them to take a step forward in their journey towards becoming a changemaker.
